BJP Learned The Hardway: Delhi Elections

BJP Learned The Hardway

BJP Learned The Hardway, AAP wins Delhi Assembly Elections.

Voters in New Delhi assembly elections chose Arvind Kejriwal led Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) for the third time in a row. This election was fought in the midst of prime minister Narendra Modi’s BJP party’s attempt to divide India religiously with the implementation of CAA without forming consensus within the country.

As per Mr.Kejriwal’s statement “For the first time in Indian elections, work did the talking”. In his victory speech, he underlined that the people of Delhi voted for providing 24hrs power, healthcare facilities, and upgraded government schools.

AAP party’s landslide victory, once India’s largest party Indian National Congress(INC) won 0 seats. In the final seat tally, AAP won 62 seats wherein BJP won only 8 seats.

It was one of the most hate-filled election campaigns the country witnessed. One of the BJP’s central ministers accused Aravind Kejriwal a ‘terrorist’. Another central minister even went to a level against Shaheen Bagh protesters “rapists and murderers”, another one egged on the public to shout “shoot the traitors”. Controversial star campaigner Utter Pradesh’s Chief Minister of BJP Yogi Adityanath had said that AAP chief was distributing biryani among the anti-CAA protesters.

BJP’s star-studded election campaign’s face was the home minister Amit Shah who considered to be the architect of CAA against Muslims. Other starts include Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP President JP Nadda, among others.

BJP Learned The Hardway – Congratulations pouring

Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Aravind Kejriwal for AAP’s victory and in reply Mr.Kejriwal said “Thank you so much sir. I look forward to working closely with the Centre to make our capital city a truly world-class city”. BJP’s main ally Janata Dal-United’s (JDU) Chief and the Cheif Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar commented about the victory as “the public is king”.
